High-performance 3-layer laminate featuring polyester film (PET) sandwiched between two layers of Metastar® aramid paper. Provides complete dielectric barrier with excellent mechanical flexibility. Standard Class F grade for AC motor manufacturing and transformer slot insulation.

Polyimide film (Kapton) bonded to one side of Metastar® aramid paper. Designed for single-sided barrier protection in high-temperature Class H systems. Combines the excellent chemical and thermal resistance of polyimide with aramid mechanical toughness.

Premium high-temperature 3-layer laminate featuring Kapton polyimide film sandwiched between two layers of Metastar® aramid paper. Engineered for critical Class H and Class N applications where polyester laminates cannot survive. Nominal thickness
Table 1 — typical values. AC rapid-rise dielectric strength withstood immediately at 50 Hz. Temperature and humidity have only a minor effect (see charts and Table 2).

Measured on 0.08 mm (3 mil) paper. Temperature has only a minor effect on electrical properties and resistivity.

Table 2 — relative humidity has only a minor effect on electrical parameters. Keep paper sealed in its polyethylene wrapper until use to maintain uniform moisture content.
Table 3 — compact structure, smooth surface and stable dimensions. MD = machine direction, CD = cross direction.
Rising temperature and humidity improve elongation, tear strength and toughness while tensile strength decreases slightly — the two effects behave similarly.

UL-rated 220 °C insulation. Useful life follows the Arrhenius relation lg t = 5474.21/(T+273) − 6.87, giving an RTI of 215.4 °C (≈20,000 h to 50% MD strength).
